3 Days 3 Quotes (Day Two)

Heyyy!

So I am assuming that you have read my Day One that I posted last week? If so you’ll know the rules etc. If not go checkout that post to find out the nature of this post.

For day two is one of my more recently discovered books. It is from a book called I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh.

This is quite an intense book that brings through many different emotions. This book links to the more recent awareness of mental health and I am sure that there are people out there that have experienced a similar story to Jenna in this book. I chose this quote as it represents how something unexpected can have severe consequences.

Chapter 6. Page 46:

An empty road.

Jacob running.

The squeal of wet brakes, the thud as he hits the car and the skin of his body before it slams onto the road. A blurred windscreen.

Have I captivated you? In which case here is the blurb to envelop you in the story even more.

In a split-second, Jenna Gray’s world descends into a nightmare. Her only hope of moving on is to walk away from everything she knows, to start afresh. Desperate to escape, Jenna moves to a remote cottage on the Welsh coast, but she is haunted by her fears, her grief and her memories of a cruel November night that changed her life for ever. Slowly, Jenna begins to glimpse the potential for happiness in her future. But her past is about to catch up with her, and the consequences will be devastating…
